Luego de comprar el antiguo dep\u00f3sito en Berl\u00edn-Wedding, el cliente se puso en contacto con los arquitectos para desarrollar un edificio de usos mixtos enclavado en un barrio heterog\u00e9neo, compuesto por bloques comerciales y residenciales. Las plataformas se crearon por medio de retranqueos, definidos por la longitud de las escaleras exteriores, siguiendo la proporci\u00f3n de la huella alemana de 19:20 cm. De esta forma, se desarrollaron plataformas de cinco metros de profundidad, ampliando el tama\u00f1o de los departamentos. Los complementos restantes, como las separaciones espaciales, fueron realizados por los propios usuarios, de acuerdo con sus necesidades. Al mismo tiempo, las normas forman un marco en el que los usuarios pueden comportarse de forma segura y libre. Terrassenhaus Berlin \/ Lobe Block consigue plantear las tensiones entre lo p\u00fablico y lo privado introduciendo un modelo de construcci\u00f3n para el contexto urbano.
